			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="justify">Crikey, is this thing still on? Er, so what's been happening recently? The band played a fair few new songs on their August/September tour, including Lights Out For Darker Skies, Open The Atom and Open The Door. They're now currently in a fort in the south west putting finishing touches to plenty more new songs, ready to fly over to Canada to record their third album in a few weeks.</p>
<p class="justify">They'll be working with Arcade Fire collaborator/producer Howard Bilerman (who has also worked with Godspeed You! Black Emperor, the Dears and the Bell Orchestre) in his Montreal-based studio, <a href="http://www.hotel2tango.com/">Hotel2Tango</a>. As a warm up for the recording sessions, BSP will also be playing a few dates in Canada. They are as follows:</p>

<p>BSP are playing a free charity event in London on Sunday 16 July.</p>
<p>British Sea Power are stepping in a last-minute headliners at the Tin Pan Alley Festival on Sunday 16 July. The festival takes place on Denmark Street in London, picturesque home of music publishers and guitar shops. BSP are hoping to channel the ghost of the Sex Pistols from their old Denmark Street rehearsal room. They also invite Elton John to guest with boogie-woogie chumming - in memoriam of his time as tea-boy at Mills Music.</p>
<p>The Tin Pan Alley Festival is in aid of homeless charity Shelter and takes place from 11am to 9pm on a Denmark Street roped off from van-drivers. The line-up is as follows and admission is FREE FREE FREE.</p>
